About
The Attalia 32 was described by Jeanneau as a family cruiser providing performance and effortless handling when at sea and a light and spacious living area when in port. This Joubert-Nivelt design features an interior that provides a level of living space that was the envy of much larger yachts on the market at the time. Even by today's standards, "GIBWANASI" has a lot to offer to the family cruiser or those looking for their first cruising yacht. Also Included is a folding steel cradle and custom winter cover.
The interior is teak lined and has a bright and spacious feel to her. The main saloon is accessed from the cockpit via the companionway. Immediately aft on the port side is a large double cabin with dividing door. She has lined hanging locker with further storage below the berth and the lateral shelf unit along the hull.
Forward on the port side is the L-shaped galley featuring an 2-burner stove with oven, stainless steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, a refrigerated icebox with inner basket and drain, teak lined storage units and an ample work surface.
Moving forward from the galley is the port side sitting area with removable cushioned backrests and additional storage lockers on hull sides. The flexible water tank is situated beneath the port settee and there is further compartmented storage. This is mirrored on the starboard side with a drop leaf central table and stainless steel mast pillar. The salon flooring is attractively finished in teak and holly.
The forward cabin is entered by a space saving sliding door and features a double berth and compartmented storage under the berth with additional space in the hanging locker and the lateral shelving on both sides of hull. Aft of the starboard salon seating is the chart table and navigation station. It has a seat with removable cushion, storage, electronic navigation equipment, chart reading light and 12V switch panel with circuit breakers.
Immediately aft of the chart table is the washroom/heads compartment with marine toilet, wash basin with mixer tap and shower head, teak laminated lockers, mirror, towel and toilet roll holders and rail for hanging wet gear.
Overall, GIBWANASI is in good order considering her age. We have known this vessel for a number of years and sold her to her current owners almost 17 years ago. They have continued to upgrade her over the years and being on board her again was like being reacquainted with an old friend.
