About
The Carver 3607 Aft Cabin was introduced in 1982. She was the biggest boat built by Carver at the time. Immediately successful, she was built on a dual mode trawler style hull, meaning that it can run efficiently and very economically at slow 7 to 8 knot displacement speeds and still plane out when the throttles are applied. Big Kahuna is powered by twin Mercury 7.4 litre gas engines.
She features a spacious aft deck which leads down to the salon. The salon features the lower helm station to starboard with a large open space to port which could fit a love seat. Aft of the helm is the galley on the port side. It features a refrigerator and freezer, three burner stove with oven, sink and plenty of storage. Opposite the galley is a booth with table and seating for four adults. The table has a storage compartment accessed by lifting the table top.
The aft cabin master quarters spans the full beam of the boat and features a queen bed, built-in storage, closet and private head with shower, tub and sink. Forward of the salon deck helm is a second head to starboard with a sink across to port. There is a V-berth forward that converts to sleeping quarters for two.
A large helm deck is found above the house with the helm station oriented to starboard with seating for guests to port.
