Accommodations

The center cockpit layout is a two-stateroom arrangement which allows for generous forward and aft cabins, two heads, a proper sea galley, roomy salon and lots of stowage space.

The raised salon is a bright and airy space that includes plenty of portlights, windows, hatches and opening ports to provide light and ventilation. The current owners have updated the interior for a lighter, more colourful aesthetic. For chilly weather there is Newport propane-fired heater in the salon.

The aft cabin owner’s stateroom is entered from the passageway from the galley and is the full-width of the boat. It features a transverse double bunk (54″x75″), plenty of storage, more storage, light and ventilation. An overhead hatch leads to the aft deck.

The aft heads compartment can be entered directly from the owner’s cabin, or from the salon forward. It is fitted with a new Nature’s Head composting toilet. There is a washbasin, shower head, opening portlight and lots of storage.

The forward stateroom features a large vee berth with an optional filler to create a large bunk. There is storage below the bunk, shelves above and a good sized hanging locker / shelving space. A large hatch overhead provides access to the foredeck.

The forward heads compartment is completely private to the forward cabin and is fitted with a conventional marine toilet, washbasin, shower, opening portlight and storage lockers above and below the washbasin.

Galley

The galley runs the length of the port side passageway between the main & aft cabins. Stove, sink and fridge are outboard on port. Counterspace is inboard on the centerline, amazingly large and topped with an anti-slip surface.

There is a separate freezer unit on starboard, located under the navigation / workstation table.

Both fridge and freezer were updated in 2014 with high efficiency Nova-Kool units. The double sink is large and deep, and the propane three burner stove and oven appears to be in good condition.

Electrical Systems

The prior owner installed a sophisticated electrical system featuring:

One 24 Volt Battery bank plus two 12 Volt banks which uses 12 6-volt GC2 batteries at 225 Amp-hours each, all new in 2024. That’s approximately 16 kWH of total capacity.

Two Panasonic solar panels totaling 430 Watts of maximum output, with a smart charge controller

On the engine is a 12 Volt alternator and a detachable 24 Volt alternator, with smart controllers from Xantrex and Balmar.

Victron Orion DC-DC Converter, 24 Volts to 12 Volt, 20 Amps

Victron shore power charger, 8 amps @ 24 Volts

Three battery monitors, one for each bank

1000 Watt inverter

Shore power service, 30 Amps @ 115 volts, with modern AC breaker panel

Electronics

  • “Cat Eye” wind speed indicator, with sensor on the arch
  • Xinuo GPS plotter (base map only)
  • Engine gauges on the pedestal
  • Sea Star 770 electric hydraulic autopilot.

While this equipment set works for light duty coastal cruising, some buyers may wish to install newer equipment to suit their needs.

The shaft is fitted with spur-type line cutters.

There is good access to the engine for service.

There are two anchor rollers, supporting a Claw (Bruce type) and a plow anchor

A Simpson-Lawrence SL555 manual windlass is fitted.

Included are several fenders and docklines.

Mechanical

The engine & mechanical space is located between the port and starboard passageways, with numerous large openings that make for easy access to both the engine and other equipment installed there. This space has room for the addition of diesel generator if desired.

The interior taps, shower heads and water pumps have been recently replaced.

Water tankage is 2x 50 gal plus a third 50 gal bladder tank under the aft cabin bunk, for a total of a remarkable 150 gallons.

Testimonials

George Ayers was terrific to work with over the past few months as I evaluated, negotiated and purchased a CS 30 that Harris & Ellis Yachts had listed in Sarnia. He was patient, thorough and totally professional. I have owned nine sailboats in my 50+ years as a sailor. My experience with George and Harris & Ellis Yachts has been my best boat buying experience to date.

George did an amazing job of selling our CS 30 sailboat. A caring and compassionate person, he went above and beyond our expectations and never stopped working on our behalf to get the job done. We are forever grateful for his dedication to his work. Please let him know how much we think of him!

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Greg. Last October, my husband suddenly passed away due to a heart attack, leaving behind two boats. Greg was instrumental in helping me sell the first boat quickly and at a very good price. As for the second boat, due to my husband's declining health in his final year, the boat had been sitting idle at the dock near our home for over a year. Greg demonstrated the utmost professionalism in cleaning, maintaining, and preparing the boat for sale. He put in a tremendous amount of work, understanding the niche market for this boat, and always kept me informed of his progress without burdening me with the stress of the process. Last week, Greg successfully sold the second boat, and I am very satisfied with the price achieved. His professionalism and confidence in his work gave me a much-needed sense of security during such a difficult time.

Thank you for all your work in facilitating the sale of our dad's boat. Jake and I really appreciate all the hard work you put into it with the many visits, paperwork, etc. A special mention has to go out to Grant for teaching me how to fold the sails!

As first-time boat buyers and as foreigners wanting to buy a cruising catamaran in the US, we knew we needed a reliable broker that had our best interests in mind. John Heintzman was just that, and more! He was extremely committed to understanding what we were looking for, gave great advice, and guided us through the purchase process with great patience and knowledge. All in all, we felt very well taken care of.

I feel compelled to reach out about the absolutely wonderful experience that I have had with Grant and Patricia Bowlby. I completed the purchase of a boat yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. They were so helpful, kind, and patient. This was my first experience with a broker, and I think I’ve found the best.

I can’t thank Ewan Campbell enough for the super job he did in selling G, making up for my lack of experience in this realm and patiently searching for just the right buyer and a win-win for seller and buyer alike.

It was a wonderful experience selling A with Jeff Cole’s expert assistance. Thank you for simplifying a complicated process. Your patience and kindness are especially appreciated.

I just wanted to thank Jeff Cole for all his hard work. He was very professional and effective.
