From Boat Test - An independent description and evaluation

Cruisers Yachts 320 is designed for the boater with a thirst for performance, impeccable taste, and the desire to get away.

With large fuel, water and waste capacities, she is the perfect vessel for multi-day or extended cruising.

The transom features a bolted-on three-foot long swim platform. A four-rung stainless steel swim ladder is neatly encased in an easily accessible hatch and provides extra leverage for those slippery ascents from the water.
The transom locker is very innovative with molded-in ports for electrical shore dock connections.

There is plenty of room inside the all-weather protected locker for hangars for your fenders and dock lines. There are phone and cable TV hookups inside and the shore tide connections are right where you need them. Located just starboard of the locker is molded-in storage for your fenders. A nice touch as you can keep them outside of the boat even as you are cruising.

In the cockpit, there is traditional fore and aft seating for six. Plenty of room is available for the cockpit dining tables that can be easily stowed under the aft bench seat. Make sure you stow them away before lifting the engine hatch located directly underneath.

There is a manual lift for the large engine engine room hatch with two large struts to hold it open.

Once inside, we found the 320 to have super clean installation. Everything is neatly labeled and bolted to the wall assuring that nothing shakes, rattles or rolls.

From the cockpit, its one step up to a landing area. From there you can either go down into the cabin or up two molded steps to the raised bridge deck.

The bridge deck is raised as high as it can be on a cruiser and boasts a double-wide helm bench seat.

There is very good reach to the controls as well as a tilt wheel and bolster seat. The dash is cleverly angled back and there is a lot of space to mount a chartplotter.

Cruisers paid attention to every detail when making the 320. The helm seating is colored in beige, which helps to reduce glare. Its not only a gorgeous hue but also a big help to the captain.

Cruisers has done an outstanding job with access to the foredeck. A one step molded-in staircase and stainless steel grab rails makes it safe and easy to go forward. The anchor locker is integral with the boat. It is very functional and nothing sticks out off the boat making it aesthetically pleasing as well.

Its three steps down into the cabin with a good amount of storage available in a dry locker under the second step.

The mid-cabin lies below the bridge deck and is quite spacious. There is a full-size hanging locker with mirror, plenty of room for a convertible sofa, and a curtain when privacy is needed.

The floor plan is wide-open with minimal bulkheads.

Over to port is the head and shower console and all the way forward is a full-size double berth.

To starboard is a c-shaped dinette with seating for four and a good amount of storage underneath the removable cushions.

Just forward is an extensive galley fully loaded with everything youd expect from Cruisers.

The in-line galley is traditional with an under-counter fridge, microwave, single burner cooktop, stainless steel sink, Corian counters and big storage lockers throughout. There are plenty of outlets for the rest of your appliances.

Across from the galley is a television/VCR combo on a swivel stand so you can watch TV from the cabin or from the berth all the way forward.

All the way forward is a double wide, double berth with one convenient step leading you to comfort. There is excellent storage on either side and an above skylight provides plenty of natural light.

Adjacent to the double berth on the port side is a spacious head/shower combo. It is a traditional layout with great stand-up headroom.

The 320 has an overall length of 35 9 with a large 11 3 beam. She weighs a heavy 12,000 lbs. but still records decent speeds on the water. A fuel capacity of 200 gallons helps to give the 320 long-range cruising.

The 320 is very comfortable but it will also get you where you are going quickly with a top speed of 43.9 mph and a best cruise of 27.4 mph at 3500 rpm.

Driving her at 4000 rpm gives you a bit more speed at 33.2 mph and loses very little of its solid gas mileage.

Testimonials

George Ayers was terrific to work with over the past few months as I evaluated, negotiated and purchased a CS 30 that Harris & Ellis Yachts had listed in Sarnia. He was patient, thorough and totally professional. I have owned nine sailboats in my 50+ years as a sailor. My experience with George and Harris & Ellis Yachts has been my best boat buying experience to date.

George did an amazing job of selling our CS 30 sailboat. A caring and compassionate person, he went above and beyond our expectations and never stopped working on our behalf to get the job done. We are forever grateful for his dedication to his work. Please let him know how much we think of him!

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Greg. Last October, my husband suddenly passed away due to a heart attack, leaving behind two boats. Greg was instrumental in helping me sell the first boat quickly and at a very good price. As for the second boat, due to my husband's declining health in his final year, the boat had been sitting idle at the dock near our home for over a year. Greg demonstrated the utmost professionalism in cleaning, maintaining, and preparing the boat for sale. He put in a tremendous amount of work, understanding the niche market for this boat, and always kept me informed of his progress without burdening me with the stress of the process. Last week, Greg successfully sold the second boat, and I am very satisfied with the price achieved. His professionalism and confidence in his work gave me a much-needed sense of security during such a difficult time.

Thank you for all your work in facilitating the sale of our dad's boat. Jake and I really appreciate all the hard work you put into it with the many visits, paperwork, etc. A special mention has to go out to Grant for teaching me how to fold the sails!

As first-time boat buyers and as foreigners wanting to buy a cruising catamaran in the US, we knew we needed a reliable broker that had our best interests in mind. John Heintzman was just that, and more! He was extremely committed to understanding what we were looking for, gave great advice, and guided us through the purchase process with great patience and knowledge. All in all, we felt very well taken care of.

I feel compelled to reach out about the absolutely wonderful experience that I have had with Grant and Patricia Bowlby. I completed the purchase of a boat yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. They were so helpful, kind, and patient. This was my first experience with a broker, and I think I’ve found the best.

I can’t thank Ewan Campbell enough for the super job he did in selling G, making up for my lack of experience in this realm and patiently searching for just the right buyer and a win-win for seller and buyer alike.

It was a wonderful experience selling A with Jeff Cole’s expert assistance. Thank you for simplifying a complicated process. Your patience and kindness are especially appreciated.

I just wanted to thank Jeff Cole for all his hard work. He was very professional and effective.

This Regal 3350 Sport Cruiser is absolutely loaded with heat and air, genset, windlass, cockpit grill and large engines. If you compare with other pre-owned 3350's on the market, there is a big difference in the details with this one - starting with the available power. The base power was the 260 hp 5.7Ls with single prop drives, up to the largest package, the 375 Hp 8.1L's with Duo Prop drives- a $12K upgrade. With the twin 8.1Ls the 3350 is fast, nimble and a blast to drive.

Whisper II is a first generation C&C MkI. Built between 1974-1977, the 33 MkI became a popular choice for those looking for a cruiser for a small family, and could still perform in racing. Whisper II has seen many upgrades over the past few years. She is well equipped for those looking to cruise and spend time on the hook, and with her arsenal of sails can still be competitive as a club racer.
