About
This 2004 Rosborough 246 with factory twin Armstrong pod is in very good condition. The owner was planning on outfitting her to take on the Great Circle Loop but his plans have now changed. He has just completed a 3-year, $40,000 refit (parts alone).
Upgrades include a new 2023 140 hp Tohatsu outboard with a transferable 5 year warranty and a 2020 tri-axle galvanized trailer. All fittings, railings, and most windows have been removed and rebedded. All replacement parts were painstakingly sourced from the original equipment suppliers. New $3000 doors and tracks were purchased from Eastern Marine. New $1800 railings were purchased from Mateux and new windows and hardware were purchased from Bomon.
Also replaced were new wiper motors, new fresh water and macerator pumps. The fuel tank was purged, cleaned and a new fuel filter system was installed. The boat was professionally polished and bottom paint was redone. The entire interior was removed and refinished. The rear lazarette and deck boxes were refinished. All the wiring was tested and three new batteries were installed. She is equipped with a Lewmar windlass and Raymarine electronics. The owner, a certified marine mechanic for 30 years, also serviced the Seastar hydraulic steering.
If you are in the market for a somewhat basic but excellent Rosborough RF246, then you should consider this lovely vessel.
